Prof. Jizhong Zhu IEEE Fellow / Fellow of Academy of Sciences of the Institute of Bologna South China University of Technology, China Biography: Jizhong Zhu is a Professor of South China University of Technology, and National Distinguished Expert. He is a fellow of Academy of Sciences of the Institute of Bologna,IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, IEEE PES Smart Building, Loads, Customer Systems Technical Committee member, Chair of IEEE SBLC Load Subcommittee, Chair of IEEE SBLC Asia-Pacific Working Group, IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems Technical Committee member. He is also an Expert of IEEE 2030.9 Standard WG on Micro-grids, Expert of International Electrotechnical Commission WGs IEC SEG6, IEC TC22 AHG1, IEC TC22 AHG2, respectively, and Chair of IEEE Standard IEEE P2781 - Load Modeling and Simulation for Power Systems. Dr. Zhu has worked at ALSTOM Grid Inc. in Washington State, Howard University in Washington, D.C., the National University of Singapore, Brunel University in England, and Chongqing University in China. He was a Senior Principal Power Systems Engineer as well as a Fellow with ALSTOM Grid Inc., and an honorable advisory professor of Chongqing University. He has published six books as an author and co-author, as well as about two hundred papers in the international journals and conferences. His research interest is in the analysis, operation, planning and control of power systems, smart grid, power markets as well as applications of renewable energy. |
Prof. Guangjie Han IEEE Fellow, IET/IEE Fellow Hohai University, China Biography: Guangjie Han (Fellow, IEEE) is currently a Professor with the Department of Internet of Things Engineering, Hohai University, Changzhou, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, in 2004. In February 2008, he finished his work as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Computer Science, Chonnam National University, Gwangju, Korea. From October 2010 to October 2011, he was a Visiting Research Scholar with Osaka University, Suita, Japan. From January 2017 to February 2017, he was a Visiting Professor with City University of Hong Kong, China. From July 2017 to July 2020, he was a Distinguished Professor with Dalian University of Technology, China. Prof.Chong-Yung Chi IEEE Life Fellow National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, China Biography: Chong-Yung Chi (Life Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. degree from Tatung Institute of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, China in 1975, the master’s degree from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, China in 1977, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1983, all in electrical engineering. He is currently a Professor of National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, China. He has published more than 240 technical papers (with citations more than 6900 times by Google-Scholar), including more than90 journal papers (mostly in IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON SIGNAL PROCESSING), more than 140 peer-reviewed conference papers, 3 book chapters, and 2 books, including a textbook, Convex Optimization for Signal Processing and Communications from Fundamentals to Applications, CRC Press, 2017 (which has been popularly used in a series of invited intensive short courses at 10 top-ranking universities in Mainland China since 2010 before its publication). Prof. Pingyi Fan Tsinghua University, China Biography: Dr. Pingyi Fan is a professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University. He received Ph.D. degree at the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University in 1994. From 1997 to 1999, he visited the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Delaware in the United States. He also visited many universities and research institutes in the United States, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has obtained many research grants, including national 973 Project, 863 Project, mobile special project and the key R&D program, national natural funds and international cooperation projects. He has published more than 190 SCI papers (more than 130 IEEE journals), and 4 academic books. He also applied for more than 30 national invention patents, 5 international patents and. He won seven best paper awards of international conferences, including IEEE ICC2020 and Globecom 2014, and received the best paper award of IEEE TAOS Technical Committee in 2020, the excellent editor award of IEEE TWC (2009), etc. He has served as the editorial board member of several Journals, including IEEE and MDPI. He is currently the editorial board member of Open Journal of Mathematical Sciences, the deputy director of China Information Theory society, the co-chair of China's 6G-ANA TG4, and the chairman of Network and Communication Technology Committee of IEEE ChinaSIP.
